Puzzle PEACE

Yesterday we read The Peace Book, by Todd Parr and What is Peace, by Emma Damon.  We talked about Peace and what it means to us.  Then we illustrated our very own puzzle pieces about Peace.  We had fun playing with the words piece and peace and coined this activity Puzzle Peace.  Today we took turns sharing, connecting and building our our class puzzle. 

Halloween Poems

These are a few of the October poems we've been reading during calendar time. The Special Helper gets to choose their favourite poems and uses a pointer to help their classmates follow along.

Witches!

Check out some of the witches the kids made for Halloween.  The inspiration came from a photo I saw on flicker.  I love how different they are, from their skirts, to their shoes and even the creepy crawlies.
